La familia Schenker es una de las más reputadas en Alemania en cuanto a traer al mundo a destacados instrumentistas se refiere. Michael, guitarrista, formó parte de nombres tan conocidos como Scorpions, UFO o sus propios MSG; su hermano Rudolf “Rudy” Schenker ha materializado uno de los pilares de Scorpions también a las seis cuerdas; aun así, hay otra pieza del rompecabezas que encaja perfectamente en las primeras ligas del hard rock y el heavy teutón: Barbara, hermana de los anteriormente citados. Teclista ella consiguió con sus Viva un sonido muy característico y es considerada por ser uno de los primeros combos en empujar los iniciáticos desplazamientos del metal germano.
